Rutiq was built as an exercise in applied AI engineering for real-world logistical operations. The platform connects operators, stores, and couriers in real-time using a modern tech stack that includes FastAPI for the backend, Supabase for the database and authentication, Telegram for the courier interface, and Anthropic's Claude AI for address data enrichment. The team made pragmatic decisions to adapt to the users' reality, such as leveraging Telegram instead of a custom mobile app to reduce onboarding friction for couriers, and embracing Excel as the shipper's entry point while using AI to enrich incomplete address data. The architecture is designed for true multi-tenancy, with all data strictly filtered by a tenant_id to ensure isolation between operators. A rigorous state machine and auditing system tracks order status changes and AI usage to maintain transparency and control. Overall, Rutiq demonstrates how a combination of modern tools and applied AI can be used to streamline last-mile logistics operations.
