MoltsPay Adds Solana and BNB Support for Gasless Blockchain Payments
MoltsPay v1.3.0 introduces self-hosted facilitators for Solana and BNB chains, enabling AI agents to pay for services without worrying about gas fees. Clients only sign payment authorizations, while the server handles on-chain execution and absorbs the minimal gas cost.
Why it matters
This development simplifies blockchain payments for AI agents, enabling them to focus on their core functionality without worrying about gas fees and wallet management.
Key Points
- 1MoltsPay now supports Solana and BNB chain payments with gasless transactions
- 2Self-hosted facilitators handle gas fees, eliminating the need for clients to manage tokens and gas
- 3Facilitator architecture provides benefits like no single point of failure, censorship resistance, and cost control
- 4MoltsPay supports 5 blockchains - Base, Polygon, Solana, BNB, and Tempo
Details
MoltsPay has introduced a new facilitator architecture to enable gasless payments across multiple blockchains, including Solana and BNB. The key innovation is that clients (AI agents) only need to sign payment authorizations, while the server-side facilitator handles the actual on-chain transaction and pays the minimal gas cost (around $0.001 per transaction). This eliminates the need for clients to manage blockchain tokens and gas fees, which is a major UX challenge for autonomous AI agents. The self-hosted facilitator model also provides benefits like no single point of failure, censorship resistance, and cost control, as each service provider runs their own facilitator. MoltsPay now supports 5 blockchains - Base, Polygon, Solana, BNB, and Tempo - all with a consistent gasless payment experience.
